Who we are

Bipartisan Voices NA is made up of Democrat and Republican members of the communities of McCandless, Franklin Park and Marshall (we hope to add Bradford Woods, as well). Presently, each member serves on volunteer boards and/or committees within the North Allegheny School district. They bring their insights and experience both to those committees and then back to their work on Bipartisan Voices NA.A bipartisan Political Committee of both Democrats and Republicans committed to endorsing the best candidates in North Allegheny School Board elections. Current Committee members are: Jacki Herring, Chair; Julie Parker, Treasurer; Alpa Arora; Elinor Avigad; Sue Gaertner; Samantha Jablonski; Tracey Jones; Mike Meyer; and Laurel Schreiber.

Alpa Arora, MD, is a Pediatrician who lives in Franklin Park with her husband and 3 sons, ages 13, 10 and 7. Alpa volunteers on NA’s Citizens Advisory Committee.

Elinor Avigad is a CPA who lives in Marshall. She and her husband have 3 daughters, a college freshman, high school senior and high school freshman. Elinor is a member of NAPAGE and the Gifted Advisory Council and a former member of the Secondary Advisory Committee.

Sue Gaertner is a Mom and volunteer from MccCandless. She and her husband have third and eighth grade children. At NA, Sue is a member of the Elementary Advisory Committee, Gifted Advisory Committee, Technical Advisory Committee, Traveling Art Gallery and she writes the McKnight Messages.

Jacki Herring, PhD is a Clinical Psychologist who lives in McCandless. Her family includes a NASH junior and a college freshman. Jacki volunteers on the Citizens Advisory Committee, Superintendent-Parent Liaison Committee, Counselor Advisory Committee, Unified Booster Organization, Gifted Advisory Committee, Slow Pitch Softball Booster Board and NAPAGE.

Samantha Jablonski, MD, is an Endocrinologist and Medical Director who lives in Franklin Park. She second and fourth graders in the district. Samantha is on the Citizens Advisory Committee, and member of the Franklin PFA, chairing the annual Pennies From Heaven campaign.

Tracey Jones is a Third Grade Teacher in the Mars School District. She lives in McCandless and has 3 boys, one each at Peebles and NASH and one NA graduate. Tracey is a member of the Peebles PTA and Unified Booster Representative.

Mike Meyer is General Sales Manager of the Steelers Radio Network. Mr. Meyer and his family reside in Marshall Township. He is a current member of the North Allegheny School Board.

Julie Parker is a Physician Assistant and adjunct faculty at Chatham University, who has lived in 12 years. She has three children in the North Allegheny School District in grades 4th, 2nd, and Kindergarten. Julie served a 2 year term as the treasurer of Peebles Elementary PTA and next year will be filling the role of Vice President of the PTA. She is also on the EAC (Elementary Advisory Committee) and a member of NAPAGE.

Laurel Schreiber lives in McCandless with her husband and two children, ages 13 and 16.
Laurel has been the President of the Hosack PFA, member of the Elementary Advisory Committee and Secondary Advisory Committee. She is currently a Trustee of the NA Foundation.
